Also known as responsible investing.
Responsible investment is a process that takes into account environmental, social, governance (ESG) and ethical issues into the investment process. It is for those who are interested in the impacts their money is having, whether due to social, environmental, ethical or religious convictions.
There are a broad array of methods that responsible investors use to manage non-financial risks – from excluding companies involved in controversial industries, to supporting the most sustainable companies, to a sharp focus on risks, and using ownership to engage with companies.
The responsible investment market has grown (2018 figures) to nearly one trillion dollars, or 44% of total professionally managed funds. Responsible investment managers have outperformed mainstream fund managers over almost all periods inside the last 10 years.
Responsible Investing does not hamper, but can actually improve returns!

Visiting the Mid Coast of NSW for over 30 years after my dad moved to Tuncurry from Blacktown in Sydney, I was lucky enough to be able to holiday here during school breaks. The kid from the Western Suburbs fell in love with the ocean and eventually moved to the area for good in 2018.
A long term footballer (once competent) and keen bodyboarder (never competent) I like to keep active in our great outdoors.
